Move pse catalog to external harddrive

How do I move my catalog from my laptop to an external harddrive to where I will be running pse from this external drive going forward, deleting off my laptop.  I did this once before on old laptop and can remember having to have external drive maintain a new letter drive(ex. g: drive).

Are you asking about the catalog itself or the catalog and all of your media?  If the latter, it is best to use the Backup and Restore option.
