Move tool in photoshop elements 2024 not working.

How do I fix my move tool that is not working in my Photoshop Elements 2024! I have a Mac OS

Please share the screenshots & system info from Photoshop Elements Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

The description is not sufficient at this point. Does the Move tool not work at all, or does it behave unexpectedly?

You attachent is interesting:  it shows you have version 24 installed, but have a build that starts with 2023- a build associated with PSE 2023, not PSE 2024.

Adobe Photoshop Elements Version: 24.0 (20240531.Git.master.e2ec2d0) is the latest build of PSE 2024- often refered to as PSE 2024.3.

You have the original version of PSE 2024 launched in October2023. You can check for updates.

The latest version for M1Mac is Adobe Photoshop Elements Version: 24.0 (20240531.Git.m1.7f2bef6)  

It appears you have not installed any update.

You may not have automatic updates enabled in preferences. Check from the Editor help menu if updates are available to install.

When choosing the move tool its recommended to keep a checkmark in the three boxes in tool options:

Auto Select Layer

Show Bounding Box

Show Highlight on Rollover

Automatic updates are enabled in perferences.   Thanks for your help, it seems to be working. User error!
