Hi my move tool will move items around but cannot make larger or smaller as the little boxes in corners/side to do this don't appear help please
Create your A4 size document and from the Editor menu use:
File >> Place
Browse to and choose your image.
Drag into position & size, then click the green checkmark.
Here is my work-flow:
1. Open blank, new file
2. Go to File menu>place, and in the dialog click on "Place".
3. I don't have to engage the move tool in order to manipulate the image. Sometimes the bounding box is obscured and dragging out the work area a tad will bring the corner and side handles in to view for access.
If this does not work for you, suggest that you reset preferences to default. Go to Edit menu>Preferences and reset on next launch.

In Editor, go to File>new>blank file. In the dialog under "Preset" there is an option for "International Paper." Here, you have the ability to select A4 paper. This will be your canvas.
Next go to File>Place and point to the file which you wish to place on the canvas
You can manipulate the image with the corner handles of the bounding box

Isn't there a way to turn something on so it is on all the time? I looked thru preferences and didn't see anything.
