Moved file to new location

New Here ,
Dec 29, 2017 Dec 29, 2017

I'm using Elements 2018 and have just reorganised the folders in My Pictures.

Although Organiser can see the files in their new location, it also shows them in the old location (which no longer exists because I have deleted the folder).

Is there a way that I can keep the list of folders shown in Organiser dynamic, i.e. it will delete folders that no longer exist and add new folders?

Phil

Hi Phil,

  • Does that mean that you have duplicates of same files from old as well as new location in your Organizer catalog?
  • Did you delete them from outside of organizer or from inside of organizer?

Organizer folders are reflection of what exists on your local or external hard disk. It would refresh on restarting the Organizer application if changes have been made to the folder structure from outside of Organizer.

Also it is recommended to make changes to folders from within the Organizer (Folders panel-View as tree) by using right click options of folders, the same would be reflected to your drive location as well.

Thanks.
