Moving Elements from Windows 10 to macOS Sierra

I am fairly new to Mac. I have owned several iPhones but computer wise I have really only used a PC. I purchased both of the Element products in February 2016 and I was wanting to know if there was a way that I could just transfer it from my PC to the Mac. I tried downloading the trial version of Elements 15 and putting in the serial number I have stored in my Adobe account but it says it is not a valid number for it. I even downloaded elements 14 and tried it as well but came up with the same result. Is it because I purchased it for a windows computer originally? I do still have the Windows computer and it is still functioning, I would really just rather have everything on one system if that is at all possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The downloaded versions are single platform: Mac or Win.

The 'boxed' versions sold by big retailers are dual platform and have the same license key.

If you want to transfer your license from an OS to the other, you'll have to contact Customer Care (choose the 'chat' option).

It was actually a Customer Care associate that pointed me in the direction of the forums.
