well that went well NOT ---- downloaded early this morning however it did not go to the normal open window I usually get --- but I did get a pop up  telling me I need winzip (??) . All zipped folders have always opened in the past.

short of the long story is that didn't work so I got another 'free' program called open 7z . Not only has that not worked as I would normally expect; I cannot find it to delete because it has become a 'buy me buy me' program
I have also down loaded pse12 again (by mistake I got PSE15) so bang goes much of my online monthly data

So all very Ped off atm . I'm certainly no computer nerd but I have never had this much drama when download an Adobe program  . The 'open 7' is a big worry --- win cannot find it (??)

Cup of coffee later hahah .  In the download list it was PhotoshopElements_12_LS25  date time -- achive. And the icon was blank white

Sorry to be such a pain; do you  R Kelly or anyone else have any ideas/thoughts/fixes of what is going on here

Thanks for reading

Sounds like you've downloaded File 1 (a .7z file) without first also downloading File 2 (a .exe file) and you're trying to open File 1.

You must download both File 1 and File 2 to the same folder (any folder) on your local hard drive.

Double click File 2 (the .exe file) and follow the prompts.

all up and running now thank you R_K and John
Note to anyone follow: for some reason you can get a different page from the screen shot posted above saying the English version is not available -- English version is listed at the top .  I have not worked out why the different page comes up however I will do some more clicking to see if I can spot the difference and post it .

Thank you for your time; very much appreciated . Several months of frustration has ended
