Multiple RAWs no longer line up in PSE 18's ARC?

I have PSE 18 on Windows 11. It appears that something has changed the way multiple RAWs are handled within ARC. In the past, when sending, let's say, three RAWs to ARC, they would be vertically lined up within ARC's left panel. And, then I could edit each one and send as a group to PSE proper.  However, all of a sudden (or what did I do,) when multiple RAWs are sent to ARC, first one appears and after editing and then selecting Done or Open Image, the next image appears in ARC...and so on. What up? What happened to their all appearing at once in the left panel? Thanks.

I have foud that the only way to have the film strip working (open multiple files) in ACR 12.0 is to call images directly from PSE. If multiple files are opened from Faststone, they open in ACR one at a time.

What version of the Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) plug-in do you have installed?

There have been no changes made to how multiple raw files should appear.  (I currently have ACR 10.3 installed but I frequently update ACR so I may not have the officially installed version).  Here is a screenshot of multiple raw files opening on my Windows 11 machine in Elements 2018.

And just to be clear:  Do you really mean Elements 18 (which is PSE 2020) or Elements 2018 which is version 16?  If that is the case, then you have probably toggled off the filmstrip which displays multiple photos:

I do have PSE 2020 (18.0 [20201207.m.154403] x64). No sign of the flimstrip icon. This present program definitely did show multiple images...not too long ago.

Sorry, my screenshot is from a later version of ACR.  Are you using ACR version 12?  If not, what version do you have installed?

At this point, all I can suggest is that you try resetting the preferences file. Go to the Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.  Also, if you have not done so already, try rebooting your computer as there may be a memory leak at play.
