My Adobe Serial number not working for Photoshop Elements 7

My adobe serial number is not working for photoshop elements 7 after a re-install on a new computer.  The chat support could not resolve this issue.  Please help.

Elements 7 is quite old software. It may not be compatible  with a modern operating system.

Did you install from the latest download link? Is the serial number commencing 1057 from a disk?

Your copy is probably a one time install and therefore your key will not work on the new computer.

Is there an error message?  If so, what does it say?

Did you purchase it as an upgrade from a previous version?

Did it come preinstalled on your old computer?
