New blank image shows scales/lines/pattern instead of being plain

Never seen anything like that before. 

  • Try updating your graphics driver.
  • Under Edit>Preferences>Performance, try toggling the box to Use Graphic Processor for improved performance.
  • Final suggestion:  Try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.
