new computer - serial number invalid?

I recently got a new computer and would like to utilize my photoshop elements 7. The program is telling me my serial number is invalid. Please advise.

I am trying to download from the software link. I do not have an external disk drive. I guess I need to decide if I should buy one to MAYBE save this program or just buy a new version--with a new learning curve...thank you for your help.
