New Here ,
Feb 14, 2020 Feb 14, 2020

Hi,

I have a new iMac with Catalina 10.15.3 and purchased Elements 2020 from Adobe Store and it will not work. Organizer & Premiere both open but Editor will not open.

Removed & re-installed and completed updates but will not work at all.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks

Have you tried launching directly from Finder?

Applications >> Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 >> Support Files

Inside the Support Files Folder right-click (control-click) on Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor and choose Open.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have tried this but no joy. The home page opens but Photo Editor won't. No idea what to do - bought the software but it just won't work - a very expensive mistake. Will have to ask for a refund somehow.

Can you try to launch by following the below steps:

1) Go to location: Applications >> Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020>> Support Files >> Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor

2) Right click on 'Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor' and click on 'Show package contents'

3) Inside the Contents folder  go to folder 'Mac OS'

4) Inside MacOS folder, there is an execuable file named 'Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor'

5) Double click this file to launch editor.

After step 5, a terminal will launch which will print the details and will also try to launch the editor. In case if it still fails, Please share the details printed on terminal window.

Seeing those details can help us investigate further.

Thanks

Vipin

You may need to uninstall and re-install. Try using a different installer such as the trial version (it’s identical to the full version) and after installation activate with your serial number starting 1057.
