Nicht genug Arbeitsspeicher nach Windows 10-Update

Guten Tag,

seit dem letzten Windows-Update vom 19.05.2018 (Windows 10 Home, Version 1803, Build 17134.48, 64-Bit, 4GB RAM) lässt sich meine Adobe Photoshop Elements 14- Installation [Version 14.1 (20151206.m.83730)x64] nicht mehr sinnvoll nutzen. Immer wieder können Befehle (z.B. "Filter anwenden", "Speichern unter") nicht augeführt werden mit dem Hinweis, dass dazu nicht genügend Arbeitsspeicher vorhanden sei. Oftmals friert dann die Anwendung komplett ein und kann nur noch über den Taskmanager bzw. mittels Herunterfahrens und Neustarts des Systems geschlossen werden. Unter dem Menüpunkt "Bearbeiten>Voreinstellungen>Systeminformation" findet sich die Nachricht, dass dem Programm lediglich 8 MB als Arbeitsspeicher zur Verfügung stehen.

Der Versuch, dem Programm über den Menüpunkt "Bearbeiten>Voreinstellungen>Leistung" mehr Arbeitsspeicher zuzuweisen, scheitert jedesmal durch sofortiges Einfrieren des Programms.

Wer hat eine Idee oder sogar einen konkreten Rat, wie sich das Problem lösen lässt? (PS: Alle anderen Anwendungen laufen auch nach dem Windows-Update vollkommen unauffällig und störungsfrei ...)

The solution is to edit the Windows registry:

Ich kann leider keine Lösung anbieten, ich habe dasselbe Problem: Angeblich zu wenig Arbeitsspeicher, bei Leistung sollte der Wert 96 bis 8 eingegeben werden, aber das Programm friert ein und lässt sich nur über den Task-Manager abbrechen.

Lässt Adobe hier die Anwender alleine?

Hallo, Hans Georg, ich habe die Lösungsanweisung von MichelBParis (s. o.) befolgt, und nach einem Neustart arbeitet PSE 14 jetzt wieder einwandfrei. Sollte dann also auch Dein Problem lösen: Viel Erfolg!

ich habe ein ähnliches oder vielleicht das gleiche Problem. Der Fotoeditor startet allerdings gar nicht, weder direkt, noch vom Organizer aus. Folgende Meldung bekomme ich immer:

Photoshop Elements konnte nicht initialisiert werden, weil nicht genügend Arbeitsspeicher (RAM) vorhanden ist. Der beschrieben Eintrag in der Registrie brachte bisher auch nichts. Bis vor kurzem ging das noch, aber ich weiß nicht genau wann das anfing, da ich den Editor nicht so regelmäßig gebraucht habe.

Hallo, ich hatte den Lösungsansatz schon versucht.

In der regedit "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\14.0" habe ich den bissher nicht vorhandenen Schlüssel "OverridePhysicalMemoryMB" erstellt. weder mit noch ohne diesen Schlüssel kann ich den Editor von Photoshop Elements öffnen.

There are two possibilities:

- either this is a totally different issue

- or you did not apply the registry edit correctly. That happened to a number of other users. To check if you applied it correctly, could you post the first twelve lines of the file info (menu Help >> System Info)? That is to see if the available RAM for Elements is correct (for instance:

My present computer has 6 GB RAM, so I entered 6000 as the decimal value in the registry.

What is interesting to be sure the registry edit has been done correctly is the following line after:

"Freier Speicher: 1.1 GB"

"für Element verfügbare RAM"

If it reflects your 4000 value, then the registry edit has been correctly done.

In the Edit >> Preferences >> Pbe sure not to assign 100% for Elements, 70%, the default value is a good one.

Also check how your scratch disk(s) are set.

Is you primary drive an SSD with limited  disk space? Do you have another conventional drive in the computer?

ich habe dasselbe Problem Bei ELEMENTS 14.

Habe auch schon die vorgeschlagene Registry-Korrektur vorgenommen.

Mein WIN10 System läuft mit einem Prozessor "AMD Dual-Core E1-6015 APU"-Prozessor.

Als Arbeitsspeicher sind "4 GB DDR3L SDRAM" verbaut.

In dem neuen Registry Eintrag habe ich zuerst 4092 versucht, dann 4000.

Beides mal ohne Erfolg.

Die help>syteminfo bei PS zeigt mir folgendes:

Adobe Photoshop Elements Version: 14.1 (20151206.m.83730)  x64
Betriebssystem: Windows 10 64-Bit

This means that the registry fix has not been made correctly. You should get an available size in GB, not MB. 8 MB is nothing.

Common errors may stay unnoticed. For instance, a space before the Dword, the added registry item added to another Elements version.

On the other hand, it does not matter if you enter 4000,4096 or 4092.

Could you provide a screeshot of your registry, like this?

The screenshot is for PSE15 with 8 GB installed RAM.

You are showing the contents of  'Elements MRU', which is a subfolder or the 14.0 master folder which should contain your previous edit.

What does the 14.0 folder show ?
