Once my PSE 2018 is installed, are my 25K photos imported automatically? [was: Gerihatrick]

I've just bought a DVD PSE18, when I install this will it install my 25785 photos (Sept2001 - May 2018) automatically or do I have to perform an action??

You need to import the pictures in Elements Organizer. You can do this by File->Import dialog box.

There is one more option to import images in bulk. You can access this by going to File->Import->In Bulk. You can add the folder from where you want to import and then images will get imported automatically from these folders.

Thank you SaurabhGuptal for this helpful information; what I should have said in my question, was that I have these photos in PSE 11.

Does that fact affect your answer (as I suspect it does) ??

In that case you can convert the PSE11 catalog. In Elements Organizer 2018 go to File->Catalog. In the dialog box click on convert and select the PSE11 catalog to be converted.

I tried importing from my MAC pictures program and all i get is a spinning wheel.

It may take a while with that many photos.
