Can anyone tell me what is going on with Premier Elements 2018? I imported a 1080p video that looks and plays great (on my PC) and I wanted to burn it to DVD in Windows 10. I imported the file WMV into Premier Elements 2018 in order to burn to DVD and it did not offer an mpg4 option to burn or share! I let it render the video and it saved as an MPG 2 720x576. Why would it offer to burn a lower res file than the original file?
Then, when I did execute the burn to disk a box stated it was burning an ISO Image? - which never did burn onto my blank DVD-R. I had to go to Windows 10, right click the Mpg 2 file and let Window10 burn what is a very laggy/choppy video on DVD.
I need to create a DVD I can pass around that looks and plays like a quality movie on DVD - like the sharp looking WMV video file I created with my Sony camera which plays fine on my PC even at full screen.
I am shocked and dismayed especially since the product claims to handle 4K video - it doesn't seem to even be able to handle 1080P or MPG 4!
My old PE 11 worked better and was more intuitive - has the 2018 software edition devolved, had more powerful features removed??
I am beginning to think I should have bought Corel VideoStudioPro..
Thanks for any insights.
Robert
