It seems that my version of Photoshop Elements 15 - 15.0 (20160905.m.97630) x64 does not support Newer Canon EOS cameras like the Canon EOS D MK II - why ? was in chat with the technical support and they told me just to make an update for the 2018 version of the Photoshop Elements 15 - but it seems fairly unreasonable just to update for opening an CR files which can be opened in all other programs.
I need a version 10 of the Adobe Camera Raw - please release it for the Photoshop Elements 15 instead of setting limitations in the programs
I hope that Adobe realizes that the Adobe is losing market shares due to new politics both in Lightroom, Photoshop and other programs I have already moved for the Luminar 2018 and have looked into Capture One 11 from Phase One
Put yourself together Adobe

being a customer for years - and my patience with Adobe is about to run out
Hi, Jørn Berg Lund
Unfortunately PSE15 cannot be updated any further.
I suggest you use the PSE 2018 free trial for 30 days.
Download the free trial from the link at the bottom of the following page:

Adobe usually releases a new version each year in October; so I’m guessing it may be worthwhile waiting for PSE 2019 before purchasing an upgrade.

Surely it's fair that if you want a major new feature that you should pay for it?

If you wish to stick with PSE15 you could use the free DNG converter. It is possible to use the free app to batch convert a whole folder of Canon raw files into Adobe raw (DNG) without any loss of quality. The DNG files can then be imported into and edited in ACR in your current software.

Actually you have a very good reason to gripe since camera raw 9.12, the version needed for the Canon EOS 6D MK II cr2s, was released while photoshop elements 15 was still the current photoshop elements version that adobe was selling, but adobe wouldn't release the camera raw 9.12 update for pse 15. Pse 2018 was still a couple of months from being released.
By the way the same thing is going on right now with pse 2018, which has only been updated to camera raw 10.2, which has serious bug, even though camera raw is up to 10.5 now.

Im no way going to do this required update because I think Adobe holds users of programs as hostage - I find the png converter in latest edition and it solve my problems - and have decided to go for Luminar 2018 it can replace both PSE 15 and Lightroom for a more time saving post edit

Yes, I'm quite impressed with Luminar 2018 too but it currently lacks a Digital Asset Manager (DAM).
They're apparently about to release one which will make it a serious contender.

I'm happy to know that - and wait for that update.
By the way - Luminar 2018 seems to solve a lot of my problems:
Time - I save a lot of time now - don't need to change between programs in post
Money - very important
ease of use - I most often used around - 10-20 hours to find my way around in a program to know the basic skills
Results which probably is the outcome of my change to Luminar - the are getting better and better all the time
So for now - I'm really excited about the Luminar 2018 - one I miss - and maybe not found yet is - the option of directly saving as jpeg format without first making an export of the files
