Organiser so slow its unusable

I have used elements 13 happily for some time but now although I can use the editor it is almost impossible to use the organiser. It take forever to input new images RAW files are hardly loading even if I leave the programme open for hours .The editor works fine. I downloaded a trial of PSE 2019 to see if that was the answer but it has exactly the same problem. How can I fix this please.

Can you please share the information about your catalog (no. of images/videos , location ) and about your OS?

For catalog information, you can provide the screenshot of window: Help>System Info.

Hi Arshla,

I deleted my catalogue as I thought it was corrupt so now I just have a couple of hundred pics in to try and make things work.Different catalogues for each version. As you can see pse 13 is wrong but pse2019 is correct but still doesn't work. Hope you can help.

I too have found Elements (several versions) 2019 Organiser very slow, especially adding new media or if database needs updating after deletions. Other free and less expensive alternative programs have much faster database management systems - Adobe need to address this and huge cache sizes. (My catalog is large with circa 120,000 photos, but is fast in other programs!)

I have been using ON1 RAW but I prefer elements ON1 has no history which I miss.

This 2019 version of PSE is a total dog. It is not fit for purpose.

I'm asking for a downgrade to 2018.
