Organizer 14 overloading hard disk C.

New Here ,
Feb 22, 2020 Feb 22, 2020

When I imported Media from an external hard disk into Organizer 14, the hard disk C (Windows 10), filled up and reduced the amount of free space from 35GBs to 17GBs.

I've deleted all catalogues but that makes no difference - my hard disk is still fully overloaded with nothing showing in Organizer.

Why does this happen and where are all these extra unwanted GBs located?

That sounds a normal amount for Elements to use for scratch disk, even without a catalog.

I just found the answer to my question from another link! Quote - I WENT TO C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files

AND THERE WAS HEAPS OF TEMPORARY FILES THAT HAD GIANT SIZE! I DELETED ALL OF THEM AND CLEARED MY C DRIVE!

The amount of freespace went from 17GB to 56GB in a blink of an eye. Problem solved!
