Importing pictures from a SanDisk, I apparently have a picture that Photoshop does not like. Elements Organizer stops at 74% of the import and freezes. I cannot bypass the problem picture, nor can I bypass the import process when opening Organizer. Every time I open Organizer, I get the message "New files have been downloaded from device(s) since last launch of Elements Organizer. Elements Organizer will now import these files into catalog. When finished, do you want to show only the new files in Media Browser?" There is no other option, and whether I check yes or no, the import starts and again hangs up at 74%. This first happened in Elements 14 Organizer, so I thought perhaps if I uploaded the trial version of Elements 15 Organizer it may have been fixed in the upgrade, but the exact same thing happens. Notably, these pictures all imported without a problem into Windows 10 Photos, so I am not sure why Elements Organizer is having a problem with one photo. I thought to try to delete the offending file, but cannot find the location Elements stores these files before importing. In essence, this has completely shut down Organizer for me and I cannot use it for any purpose. Is there any way to fix this? TIA for any assistance.
