Organizer won't open but Editor works

I installed Photoshop Elements 8 on my new computer. I downloaded Microsoft DirectX as advised and it is installed on my computer. Now Organizer won't open and the error message says DirectX could not be initialized. However, I can open and use  Editor. How can I get Organizer to work?

Sincere apologies for this inconvenience.

Please check if directPlay is turned ON in Control panel>Programs and Features>Windows programs

If not then please turn it ON and restart the application. It should be working fine then.
