OSX High Sierra, PSE 2018, canon 40D compatibility ?

I can't seem to find out if I can import raw photos from my canon 40d to pse 2018.

Currently I have pse 10 but am planning to upgrade to pse 2018.

My old versions of PSE 10 and Lightroom 3 will apparently not work on osx high sierra . Im hoping pse 2018 will be adequate for

my needs as I don't want to buy the Lightroom subscription.

I haven't touched my Lightroom and photoshop elements in a few years so I am basically starting from scratch. Any advice on how to get back into

this is greatly appreciated. I'm a hobbyist photographer and although I did like editing in LR, I don't feel I need to spend the money on that right now.

I would like to keep using my canon 40D and edit photos using only pse 2018.
