Out put of slide show elements 5

OK I have Light room 6 but find elements 5 far better for slide show creation.  It seems I can not output to  a CD/DVD it want to shut windows down.  Any thoughts

What version of windows are you using?

At what point in the process of creating a cd/dvd of the slideshow does the crash occur?

Have you applied the 5.0.2 update?

You can check if you already have it by going to Help>About Photoshop Elements in the pse 5 editor.

It says 32 bit versions only, but seems to work with 64 bit windows as well.

If your using windows 8/8.1 or 10, have you enabled Direct Play as described in the following thread?
