PE 14 problems with Windows 10

New Here ,
Aug 22, 2018 Aug 22, 2018

I have PE 14 on two computers and used it for 4 years but recently when I try to do something with a photo I get error messages eg 'Could not complete your request because the active layer is empty' and 'Could not complete the command because there is not enough memory (RAM)' and 'The operation could not be completed'.

I get these same messages on both computers which are both running Win 10 with all latest updates.

I found this link (below) and applied it to one of the PC's to see if it worked, but it did not make any difference.

Error: An integer between 50 and 8 is required | Elements | Windows 10

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? At the moment both my copies of PE14 are useless.

Thanks

It requires a registry fix.

Your above link is appropriate, but see this thread, esp. post #24 by sspengel.

A registry fix is the solution for me

Administration: what to do with the remark "see post #24 in this thread" ?
