PE 6 registration issue

New Here ,
Dec 19, 2016 Dec 19, 2016

I have Photoshop Elements 6 for PC and haven't used it in about a year. Today I opened the editor, but a page came up saying that www.adobeereg.com could not be found. Photoshop will not allow me to close out the window, so I can't use the program. I have to use task manager to force quit Elements because the tab that keeps popping up will not close. I think it's trying to make me register the program, but I checked under my Adobe account and it is registered.

Please help me figure out how to get this internet error page to go away!

Turn off your internet connection before you start pse 6 and then hopefully you'll see a box that says Never Register that you can check.

Which version of windows do you have?

Having the same issue!  There have been a few times that I've managed to get it running by clicking on a .jpg file and then right clicking on "open with" Photoshop Elements but it is only temporary and probably just a fluke.  Sometimes it freezes my entire system and I can't even bring up task manager to close it down. And now I get the same error message (or no-response) when I try putting in and viewing the pse6 installation disk. When problems first started I could copy that to my desktop and reinstall it from there.

Has caused me countless problems and wasted HOURS of precious time.  And many more frustrating hours attempting to get through to Adobe customer phone support.  (I've started to think no one is really there, just a robot that (sometimes) finally picks up and states that all lines are busy so call back later.)  And the website referenced in the error message (www.adobeereg,com) doesn't seem to exist either,

If you have fixed this,or If ANYONE can figure some way to fix this, I would be SO grateful to know what to do.
