I downloaded Elements 15 on the trial version, and installed it.  However when I open the app, I can use the Organizer and the Video editor part, but when I select Photo Editor, it tells me to download Elements 15.  Will I have the same issue if I actually purchase the app?

The Photo Editor and Video Editor are two separate apps which share the Organizer. It’s possible you only completed the installation of one and not the other.

You can download the Photo editor from this link:

Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10

That is the same download I have.  Again, this is the Trial version.  I downloaded the following: PhotoshopElements_15_LS30_win64.exe.  I then extracted it to a specific folder and in that folder was,

PSE 15 and then I opened the folder and selected Set-up.exe.  I still don't have the ability to use teh tab that is titled Photo Editor.

Please navigate to :

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 15

Let us know if the PSE editor app is showing – see image below.

It looks like an incomplete installation. I would suggest going to the extracted files folder and double-clicking again on the red Setup file.

You can then right-click on the application as in my image and choose Send to >> Desktop

It is then possible to launch the Photo Editor directly from the new desktop icon, bypassing the welcome screen. You can make a similar desktop shortcut for the Video Editor. I find that more efficient as the welcome screen often leaves processes running in the background.

From either app you can click the Organizer button (at the bottom) to quickly see thumbnails.

If you decide to purchase, there is no need to uninstall and re-install even if you buy the boxed version with disks which is multi-platform (Windows+Mac). You simply entre your serial numbers to licence the software.
