Photos have disappeared behind grey timer

Hi Can anyone help?

I have recently saved my catalogue onto a portable hard drive as well as on my laptop. (Using Elements 14) Since then a large number of my photos on the grid are greyed out with a timer emblem showing. When I select on each photo it appears as normal but as soon as I return to the grid the thumbnail is greyed out again.  Also at the bottom left hand corner the small circle is rotating very slowly.

Can anyone help Thank you

Gerry

Select those items on which you are seeing grey thumbnail. Right click and choose Update Thumbnail.

Let us know if you face any issue.

Thanks,

Hi,

The rotating circle (spinner) is for thumbnail generation. It implies that the thumbnails are still in process of creation. When the spinner disappears then that implies the completion of thumbnail generation.

If even after completion, the hourglass doesn't go away then select that file, right click on it and select update thumbnail.

It should set that right.

Please get back to me in case the issue isn't resolved.

Thanks,

Arshla
