I have downloaded photos (previously edited) onto a usb from PS Elements14 from my old computer.  When downloading onto PS elements 14 on  new computer they are offline. If I click on the pictures they turn grey with a question mark at centre...anyone know how I can fix this?

many thanks

There are two ways to 'Import' media files into the organizer:

- From Camera or card reader (also works for a USB thumbnail drive). Than means you want two things: 1 - to download, 2 - to register the files in the catalog.

- From Files or folders: in this case, the files are supposed to be in your computer. Note that if you have a USB drive, it is considered just like an internal drive and no files are downloaded, you are supposed to have the drive plugged in.

With USB thumbnail drive, you can choose either solution. So that drive has to be plugged in if you have chosen from Files or folders,  otherwise the files in the catalog are shown as 'offline'.
