Photoshop and Premier Elements 9 Login Error

I have Photoshop and Premier Elements 9 and when you start up, there is a place to enter your Adobe ID and PW, when I do this (and I know they are correct b/c I can login online), I get this error every time:

ERROR Photoshop.com services are currently unavailable. Please try again later or check your network connections. Error 400.

Simply ignore the message and continue. The photoshop dot com service closed some years ago.
