PHOTOSHOP ELELEMTS 8 BATCH PROCESSING

Hi, I am hoping to find a way to apply custom edits to just 3-5 photos at a time. The goal is to be able to upload sets of three interior photos that represent different rooms of the house, ect.., adjust custom white balance and make a few other color edits and have that apply to all the bracketed photos in that set (3 to 5). I've tried uploading the 3 photos and selecting all three but it only makes the edit to 1. The "process Multiple Files" does not seem to work for this purpose and I cannot create an standard action because each interior will always be different and require custom WB work. Thanks for any help!

Your requirement to apply custom edits at the same time is another huge advantage of processing all your files (raws as well as jpegs) in the ACR module of Elements. (Menu File >> Open in Camera raw)

- You can have a batch of files opened at the same time

- you can select them from the film strip to add a given correction, like white balance, clarity..., then highlight another set from the batch and add another one

- you can crop and straighten non destructively

- The last set of edits applied to an image is available to be applied to a new photo or to all files of a new batch...

You'll find that this ability makes your workflow much more efficient, even if raw files are slower to load.

Also, consider using the organizer with the 'Instant Fix' function which applies basic edits and enhancements to a batch of pictures.
