Photoshop Elements 11 pull down menus are empty

Have not used my Photoshop Elements 11 for a few months, now when the program opens all the pull down menus ie file, edit, image etc. are empty which makes the program useless. Any suggestions

This is related to a WINDOWS 10 update.

Windows 10 updated automatically today, Photoshop Elements 11 pull down menus are now working again.

i had this problem - it went away with the update - and today it is invisible again.

I'm nearly ready to abandon this in our office and take everyone over to GIMP
