PhotoShop Elements 12 after MAC Update

I installed the resent MAC update yesterday and now my Elements 12 is not working.  I can open it but everytime I try to move the window or click on the tool bar is closes.

Owners of old programs simply have problems with new Mac operating systems... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Apple changed their operating system and THAT is why your old programs won't work, not because of anything Adobe did... Also... every time Apple issues an update, there is the risk that an old program that HAS been working will STOP working... bottom line, old programs require a matching old operating system

What version of PSE?

More than likely after you updated your computer you killed the old version of PSE.    That's because of Apple killing off 32 bit programs a year or two ago.

There might have been a fix for Elements 12 and Mojave, but for Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey and Ventura, old apps are dead forever. Apple don't want people to run old apps, so they block them, so we can all pay for upgrades to the latest and greatest. It's all part of the Joy Of Mac!

Thanks for your response. It would help if Mac warns users of certain apps to check if an update will likely kill the app.

A few years ago I had to buy a new version of photoshop when I updated to Monterey. The latest update killed that version of photoshop, so it's a repatitive story it seems. Very annoying, and I wonder why nothing has been done about it. So many visual artists have Macs... cannot imagine they buy new software everytime the mac needs an update.

Visual artists with subscription Creative Cloud subscriptions don't buy updates - they are included in the subscription... Photoshop Elements, yes, may need to buy updates often if you keep updating macOS.

Photoshop Elements which worked on Monterey should still work on Ventura, if that's what you just upgraded to.

We'll need more info, including version numbers, to troubleshoot further.
