Photoshop Elements 12 Editor compatibility with MacOS Mojave 10.14

Photoshop Elements 12 Editor does not seem to be compatible with the newest Mac update (MacOS Mojave 10.14).  I updated PSE 12 software and updated Adobe Application Manager Utilities.  However, PSE12 unexpectedly quits every time and nothing is saved.  Can someone give me advise on how PSE 12 for a Mac user will work again?  Thank you.
