Photoshop Elements 14 not working

I've had Photoshop Elements 14 installed on my MacBook for over a year. Today, the application does not work (you click on it and it does not open. Literally nothing happens). I purchased it when Adobe still offered one-time payments (instead of its current monthly or yearly plans). Anybody else have this issue? Thanks.
