Photoshop Elements 15 Organizer crashed when importing pictures - now they are gone!

New Here ,
Dec 30, 2016 Dec 30, 2016

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 15 and Premiere 15 today, and had the organizer import my 25.000 pictures from my NAS drive. Guess what - Elements crashed, and now all the 25.000 pictures from my Buffalo NAS have disapperared!

Any clue what happened and what I can do to recover them?

thanks a lot!

Do you have a backup?

Are they in the recycle bin?
