Hi,
I recently upgraded my PC from an old AMD to an Intel i7
After installing Photoshop Elements 15 I tried merging some photos into a panorama. But I only get the error message "some images can not be aligned" (I have the German version so it says originally "Einige Bilder konnten nicht ausgerichtet werden".
I tried all the settings - automatic panorama, cylindrical panorama, etc. but I always get the same error message.
I also tried to build a panorama from old images that worked fine on my old AMD PC - I get the same error message.
So why did it work on my old rig but not on my new?
I use the same windows 10 version, the same PSE version and I have plenty of RAM (32 Gb).
Has anyone experienced the same issues?
Is there any solution available?
Thanks and regards,
Ruckkers

Hi Arshla,
thanks for the answer!
I tried creating a panorama of just 2 of the series of pictures and I still get the same error message. So I think the panorama size should not be the problem.
And it was possible to create a panorama using exactly the same images on my old machine.
Something even more strange:
Photoshop aligns the pictures - I can see it behind the error message.
Usually it would start to create the seamless transitions between the images, but as the error occurs PSE is not able to do this.
the following link contains:
- Screenshot of the error message with the aligned images in the background
- The images i tried to create a panorama from
- The panorama that was created from those images on my old machine
Thanks,
Ruckkers
