Photoshop Elements 2018

I bought Photoshop Elements 2018 not knowing it was 64 bit and I have a 32 bit machine.  Do I have any options other than upgrading my computer to 64 bit?  Does Adobe have a 32 bit version?

There is no 32 bit version of Photoshop Elements now being sold by Adobe.

Yes, there is 32-bit being sold.  I just accidentally bought one.  I have a new 64-bit MacBook Pro computer and this 32-bit does not work.  I need to exchange for 64-bit or get my money back.  Store (Office Depot) told me to contact Adobe.

What version of photoshop elements did you buy?

Photoshop elements has been 64 bit since version 12 on the mac side, so perhaps you bought a windows version.

By the way 32 bit mac versions of photoshop elements from 6 on will work on Intel mac  64 bit os.

I bought Photoshop Elements 2018 tonight from Office Depot.  It says Windows/Mac.  When I got the serial number from the download card and put it into the correct place and started the download a message popped up saying this app is not optimized for your mac.  Then it goes on about 32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4.  It actually says I can continue using the 32-bit app on my Mac today but it won't be good once the next version after High Sierra is out, which should be this fall.  Any suggestions?

Actually the photoshop elements 2018 application itself is 64 bit, just some of the utilities like the updater are 32 bit.

You can check this for yourself by going to the Apple menu>About This Mac>System Report>Applications.

Adobe says they'll have it fixed before macOS doesn't allow any 32 bit apps at all, which according to apple might be in 2019 and the next macOS Mojava this fall will still support 32 bit applications.

So just keep using photoshop elements 2018.

I bought Photoshop Elements 2018 windows/Mac OS tonight at Office Depot. When I scratched the download card to reveal the redemption code, I put In the redemption code where I was supposed to after signing into Adobe. When I went to download a window popped up saying this app is not optimized for my Mac. It went on to say the 32-bit app was compatible with the latest operating version but this is the last version that will work with 32 bit apps. It said for me to contact the developer. I called on the phone, but they were closed for the evening. Office Depot said I had to deal with Adobe. Got any ideas? No wonder it was on sale; although every place I looked, the price was discounted to the same amount. Got any suggestions?
