Hallo,

Christoph

Let's just walk through all the steps to set up a watch folder and test whether it's working:

- Choose the Organizer from the Photoshop Elements Home screen

- File > Watch Folders

- In the Watch Folders dialog window make sure the checkbox is selected next to Watch Folders and their Sub-Folders for New Files

Hi Christoph 🙂

It sounds like you need to set up your watch folders.

Here's the relevant section from the Elements Organizer User Guide:

Lokale Dateien, CDs, DVDs und Videos

Hope that helps 🙂

Christoph

The way watched folders work in Photoshop Elements changed in Photoshop Elements 15.

Since Photoshop Elements 15, watched folders are only checked when the Elements Organizer is launched. If any images are added to one of your watch folders while you have the Organizer open, you will not be prompted to import them until the Organizer is next launched. Similarly, if you decline to import any new images in your watched folders at launch time, you will not be asked again.

Does that explain why it might appear that watched folders are not working on your computer?

If you go through these instructions step-by-step and something does not appear to be working correctly, please let me know at which point things go wrong 🙂
