Photoshop Elements 2021

I recently purchsed Elements 2021 and have not yet loaded it to my computer.  Will this new version support files I created in Elements 2011?  I design book covers.  If one of the authors wants to update his /her book cover, will I be able to use Elements 2021 to open the file and update it for a new cover?  Thank you.

There should not be any problem. Hopefully you have saved the files in a format which preserves the layer structure in order to facilitate any potential changes.
