Hi. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 installed on my desktop pc. I have Windows 11 OS. When I start the program and go into Photo Editor I click on the Guided Mode. The Guided Edits tabs do not show up. What do I do to get them to show up? I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and still the same thing.

Can you show us a screenshot of your monitor when you click on the Guided tab?
In the meantime, make sure that your graphics card driver is up to date.
What size and resolution is your monitor? Do you have it set to the recommended resolution?
(I have locked your original discussion, so continue posting here.)

Hi Greg. Thank you for answering back. Here is a screen shot. My monitor size is 24". I have the resolution set to 1920x1080 which is the recommended resolution. Thank you for your time.

Hmmm . . . . I don't think I've ever seen that problem before.
Did you update your graphics card driver?
When you uninstalled, did you accept the option to delete the preferences file? If not, try try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.
Do you have the Taskbar set to Autohide? (It is not shown in your screenshot and that can be the cause of similar issues.) If so, turn that setting off.
Do Quick and Expert modes display properly?
And does anything happen if you click in the blank space where the content should show?

When I open a picture file in the Guided Mode it ends up in the photo bin. When I click on the photo it just stays in the photo bin. It will not come up in the blank area.

There are no stupid questions, Brenda. (But maybe a few silly answers. 😁) The Windows Taskbar is the area at the bottom of the screen.
If it only shows up when you hover your mouse over it, then you have auto-hidden it, and this may well be the answer to your problem. Go to Windows Settings>Personalization>Taskbar>Taskbar behaviors and make sure that the auto-hide box is unchecked.

I did that & Automatically hid the taskbar was not checked. Any other suggestions?

Did you try resetting preferences as I suggested before?
Did Guided Edits work for you previously? If so, did you make any changes to your computer just before the problem arose?
It would be interesting to see whether you have the same problem with Elements 2024. You can download a free trial here.

Yes, Guided Edits worked for me previously. There is something else going on with my computer. I am having other issues, so I think I am going to reformat my hard drive. It is under warranty, but HP won't help me with any technical issues. Then when I get done doing that I will reinstall the program. If after I do that and I start having this issue again I will try resetting the preferences. I got a couple of emails from a couple of different experts with Adobe and they said to contact them if I needed help. So, if I have the same issue I will probably contact them to see if they have any other ideas. Hopefully doing a reformat will take care of the problem. Thank you so much for your time and your help. I really appreciate it! You have a wonderful night!

I just tried uninstalling it again. I clicked on the option to delete preferences and now Error Code 131 Uninstallation Conflict comes up. Don't know what is going on with this. I will try uninstalling again after I get off of here before I do a reformat.

Brenda, do NOT respond to anyone that is attempting to contact you via email, particularly if they are contacting you via Private Messages. They are almost certainly scammers. If you have been contacted via PM, please let me know the screen name of the person so that we can get them banned from the forum.
As for the Error 131, that generally means that you had an open Adobe program running in the background while performing the installation. Make sure that all Adobe processes have been terminated before starting the installation.

I haven't gotten any emails from anyone saying they were from Adobe. I got the posts on here. Good to know. Thanks for the info. Again thanks for the help. I really appreciate it! You have a wonderful day!

Hi Greg. Well, I had a tech reformat my hard drive & I am still having the same problem. It worked for a little while then went back to the same old thing. I downloaded a trial version of Elements 2024 & when I clicked on the guided photo edits option just got a blank area. I think I am going to try to find another photo editing program that works if I can find one. It makes me sad, cuz I really like Photoshop Elements. Do you have any suggestions on photo editing software that is user friendly?

I have this same problem with PSE2023 and Windows 11 - Guided edits used to work OK 😞
