I installed Elements 2020 onto my new Mac. When I added a note to any photo, the photo went to the bin although it did not disappear from my catalogue. I upgraded to Elements 2022 and still have the same problem. Any ideas ?

I am about to buy Lightroom Photoshop 12 month plan. Can I be sure I will not have this problem of files being copied to my bin whenever I make a change to them

I don't care because that's not a bug. That's an unusual feature of the organizer which 99% of users do never notice.
If you switch to the Photographer's plan subscription, there is no reason to use the organizer, the logical choice would be to use Lightroom Classic and Photoshop together?

Thank you. When I have bought the plan will there be an option during the installation process to access my Photoshop Elements Catalogue?

Lightroom Classic has the option to "convert" Organizer catalogs to its own format.
