Can you open it directly from the exe file in Program Files?

Is there an error message?  If so, what, exactly, does it say?

Does not start directly from Program Files. No error message. Just the "turning wheel". Does not go beyond this, left to "run" for hours.

Downloaded/installed the most recent drivers for my processor and video.

Tried uninstalling all other Adobe applications (Acrobat and an older version of Elements), and reinstalling Elements 2024.
