Photoshop Elements 2024 Locks Up

I upgraded from 2023 to 2024 Premiere Elements including Photoshop and finding that the Photoshop app will lockup on me and I have to CTL ALT D and end the program in order to do anything further. Not sure what the issue is but it is VERY annoying

I'm assuming you mean photoshop elements 2024 and just not "Photoshop".

Have you added anything manually, such as actions, bruhses, or color palattes to either version?

What are you doing, exactely, when the program "locks up"?

There may be some media analysis taking place in the background that can cause the editors to lock up. Try going to Edit>Preferences>Media-Analysis in the Organizer and uncheck all the boxes. If it makes a difference, you can check all the boxes again and leave your computer on overnight or when it is not in use, so that the media analysis can take place.
