I have just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements & Adobe Premiere Elemnts 2024.
To my amazment and when considering what these programmes are surpost to achive all the icons now down the left hand side of Photoshop are all in black & white.
Having purchased many versions before, this new home screen looks very cheap and nasty compared to previous versions. Can the developers do a quick update fix please?

I expect your pleas will fall on deaf ears. One of the prime new features of Elements 2024 is the Dark/Light interface which many users had requested. I'm sure it takes a great deal of work to change the UI and I also expect that Adobe which is the front-runner in graphic design also has a pretty good idea about what its users want to see in a modern program design. So, while I agree with you about the new look and feel of the program, don't hold your breath looking for an update "fix." I have been around these forums long enough to know that Adobe can't please all of its users all of the time.

Indeed, Greg is right that you can't please everyone, and also that Adobe has all the marketing tools to know what style of UI PSE users expect. The last major UI change was PSE11 and the most requested feature was a so-called "dark UI". This was an opportunity for Adobe to bring changes to the classical "light UI". Both were tested as beta versions, and you know what?
The colorful UI was judged very "amateurish" and lacking the less conspicuous look of Adobe "pro" softwares.
Probably a bias from Adobe and the more "advanced" beta testers.
Anyway, I would not expect any signifiant UI changes before some ten years from now...

It now lines up with the rest of their product line, which in y opinion looks pretty crisp.
I think it was version 10.0 that last looked really pretty, colorful, and amateurish.
Updating the interface seems like a good choice to me: it gets users use to the interface, and if a user decides to move on to any of the subscription based stuff (I only pay $10.84 a month- and I get tons of programs- in addition to Photoshop)
A quick update? Very doubtful.
I've wanted to be able to undock the brush panel for about 4 years now.- We can undock it in photoshop, why not PSE? Because it's PSE-- and it's on sale for only $59 right now.

I hate the new looks of the radio buttons too. The characters on the menu are very small. It gives the options of automatic, 100% and 200%. 100% is too small, 200% is too big, and the automatic is also small enough that it hurts your eyes. The color bottons were so pleasing. I would have retruned the software had I decided to use the trail version but I am stuck with the paid up version.
