Photoshop Elements 2025 - Can the Moving Photos duration be changed?

New Here ,

Hi.  I just downloaded the trial version of Photoshop Elements 2025.  Is there a way to change the duration of the moving photos?  Currently, it's only lasting for 3 seconds.  I see online that there were options for 5 or 10 second durations with the 2023 version, which is not available.

Thanks.

AFAIK, nothing has changed between Elements 2023 and 20225.  The duration of the movement depends on which of the templates are used.  The zooms or scans in one direction are shorter than the ones that go in both directions.  I just tested with gifs but I expect it is the same with mp4 files.

And I suppose there are ways to change the duration, either by adding or subtracting layers from a gif, or by editing the speed of an mp4 file in Premiere Elements or another video editor.

@D0D4C

I've moved your post from Photoshop to the Photoshop Elements forum.

Hi Greg.  You're likely right.  I've been watching so many Photoshop and Premiere Elements videos that I probably got them mixed up.  I went back through some of the videos I watched and can't find the one that shows the 5 and 10 second options.  My thought was also to use an editor to expand the current 3 second duration.  Looks like I'm getting the Photoshop and Premiere Elements bundle.  Thanks for your help!

The max limit on anything moving in PSE is either 3 seconds, or 6 seconds.

Below is a perfect example of a video I made and posted on my youtube channel.

I made the background using 3d models.   I used the falling snowflakes element- which is only 6 seconds long, then looped that 6 second clip to fill out the sound track.  I used Premiere elements to do that with. If I dont use that I will use Microsoft Movie maker (It's anceint old)- it's my go slideshow app.

I just used one image- could have easilly made a slideshow or used a video- but it  was just a "proof of concept" thing anyway.

Any number of free things can make the same thing-- looped effects / videos / slide shows- but with PSE you are extremely limited.

JUST WITH PSE: nothing can go over 6 seconds.
WITH PREMIERE ELELEMENTS: any length of time.
