I have an Epson 3880 printer. I can print 8 by 10 prints but when i try something larger, like 11 by 17, the error message I get is that the printer is not connected.
Could it be that Elements can not print anything larger than 8 by 10 or is it an epson problem. When i use Lightroom or On One Photo, it print perfectly. the problem thus seems to lie with Elements.
Any suggestions

Hi there,
That shouldn't be happening, let's make it right.
As the printer is not getting recognized, could you please let us know the version of Photoshop Elements you're working with?
Also, have you tried updating the printer drivers and see if it helps?

the last update was in 2016.
Funny thing happened while in Lightroom I changed paper to German Etching, then Lightroom did not recognize the printer. On One photo did recognize it. So the only thing i can assume is that there is a glitch in Photoshop and Lightroom.

Suggest that you go on the Epson web site to check if there is an updated driver for your printer.

Got it tp print with A3 print setting, but at the end of the line after working with epson for about an hour, it is an Adobe problem.

Printer problems such as this can often be resolved (in Elements) by deleting the preferences file. See this FAQ.

I know nothing about MACs, but yes, I think you should delete all three items. They will be rebuilt the next time you launch the program.

I am not sure that deleting 3 files I know nothing about will solve the problems.
I guess it assumes the files were corrupted somehow.

If you don't try, you'll never know.

But since there is no harm in doing it, why not try it?

Because the same issue is in Lightroom and On One Photo.
