Hi,

My Photoshop Elements15 doesn't recognize or open any CR3 files. Are there any options out there?

Yes, each new camera comes with its new raw format, so converters published before the specific camera is in the market won't recognize the format.

So which camera? CR3 is a Canon family, not a precise raw format.

FAQ: Will Photoshop Elements work with my camera, or Why won't my raw files open?

If your PSE15 is too old, you can download and use the free Adobe DNG converter mentioned in that faq.

That standalone software, not a plugin, will be able to convert a whole folder your raw files to the DNG raw format that your PSE15 can read and edit. An additional batch step, but free with the same quality.

I have a Canon Powershot SX70 HS.  Thank-you for your quick and thorough response. Much appreciated!

Hi,

The ACR version that supports Canon Powershot SX70 HS is 11.1, but maximum ACR version supported by Photoshop Elements 15 is 9.10. So, you can go for Adobe DNG converter or you have to update your product.

For more information, please refer:

Thanks,
