photoshop no longer available

After years of using Photoshop 11 on my mac, the program suddenly disengaged. Now I get a window asking about terms and conditions and free trial and buying. After messing with it, I ended up loosing all attempts to bring it back up.

Are you talking about Photoshop CS4 and can you explain what you mean by "the program suddenly disengaged"

One day I was using Photoshop Elements 11, and the next day I am unable to use it because of a window asking if I want a free trial or do I want to buy it. There was also the license agreement agree or not part of it. Also there was the serial number part of it all.

I will add that we had a bout a two second power outage just before I was getting ready to open Photoshop. I don't know if this had anything to do with it. Coincidental maybe?

My problem is I don't remember when I bought this IMAC computer (maybe 5 or so years ago) and I don't remember if I downloaded Photoshop off a cd or online. All I know is I have used it a lot and have loved it.

As for the »suddenness« – did you change any hardware components, update or upgrade the OS, …?

If you choose the trial are you not able to register your license with your original serial number?
