Placement of captions in Organizer

New Here ,
Jul 21, 2025 Jul 21, 2025

Hi,
I have thousands og photos with captions. I use Organizer version 19.  In earlier versions of Elements those were wisely placed in the bottom.

Now, they are place up more or less in the middle of the photos disturbing the experience of the photo.
Can I do something in settings ? Are this issue solve in a newer version ?

Best Regards

Finn

Please show us a screenshot of what you are describing.  It is unclear to me which captions feature you are talking about.  As far as I can remember, there have been no changes in how captions are treated in the Organizer.  If you are talking about adding captions to a slideshow, there have been several new templates, and they may differ in their treatment of the captions.

Your screenshot shows the placement of the caption in full screen view (F11).   I presume this is a screenshot of what you have described as Elements 19.  (It's not clear whether you are talking about Elements version 19 or Elements 2019 which is actually version 21.)  In any event, I have just compared the location with Elements 13, and it is in exactly the same position.  If you have a screenshot of an earlier version that had a different location I might be able to offer a different explanation.

Hi Greg, when I changed to version 21, all captions were moved to actual position, so I can't fulfill your request. Sorry.

You can batch convert a set of photos for a slideshow, choosing to embed captions - bottom left - see image. From the Editor - Go to File > Process Multiple Files

Take care to use  separate source and destination folders so as not to overwrite your originals. Use the copies in the destination folder for your slideshow in Full Screen Mode or use them in one of the built-in Slideshow themes.

Hi Legend, thanks for your reply.

It might work for slideshows, but would like to control the pace. Therefore I normally present my photos in full screen mode. Do you think it will work then ?

Yes it will work best in full screen mode. Sometimes the built-in slideshow themes can add motion like pan and zoom which sometimes cuts off the bottom of mages, meaning they often need to be re-sized.

Hi again, if presenting in full screen mode, how can I then move captions to the bottom of the photo ?

I suggest choosing bottom left position when processing multiple photos
