Poor Customer service

Just at the moment I would not recommend to anyone Photoshop Elements 14!!!  I have an ongoing issue with Photomerge crashing and it appears that the support team just leaves you high and dry for the public to recommend fixes and some of which seem totally without the basic knowledge of even the system requirements.

Does anyone know how to really chat to Adobe support team?

Before anyone mentions the system requirements for PSE 14, here they are below and yes I have reset the Preferences.

Sorry to be a pain but I am getting frustrated with a product that isn't fit for purpose and I am not about to give up or be ignored.

Workaround II: Switch views

• Switch to Expert view, return to Guided room, and then choose Photomerge Panorama from the Photomerge tab.

Thanks for response Peru Bob.  Further testing of the Photomerge product has resulted in a successful Photomerge Exposure just once and once only using only two images.  The successful attempt was completed by using the work around of switching to EXPERT before selecting the forward arrow and then completing a Save As.

From have executed one successful merge, I can only assume that lack of RAM is the issue and ADOBEs written system requirements are likely to be on the very conservative side.  I would like to prove this but I think my efforts would be best served if I now seek a way of combining three different exposure level Layers from three same but different images and produce an HDR effect that way.

The only Photomerge programme that works for me and my 3.00 GB is Photomerge Compose.  So disappointed to have bought a product that fails such a useful facility.

PS. Still failed to repeat a successful attempt using 2 or 3 images.

Try resizing images first.

Select files in Organizer and use:

File >> Export As New

Choose jpeg

Then resize from the pulldown menu

I find a custom size of 2400 x 1600 works well and fits my camera aspect ratio of 3:2

Use the new jpegs to create the photomerge.

• 2GB of RAM

I am very skeptical about the 2 GB. Never tried it, but even 4 GB is minimal for me, and I would not be surprised if I got lack of memory for some filters. My main computer has 8 GB (comfortable for all filters and raw develop of many files at the same time). I recently changed my old second computer from 4 GB to 6 GB and the result is noticeable.

That said, I don't think it's the problem you are having now. I believe you would get a clear message in that case.
