problems again with raw files

New laptop so tried a trial version of photoshop elements 15 and had a hard time getting it to read the raw files from the memory card.  In the end got it to work.  I cannot remember what made it work.  Photos taken on a canon 5d mark 4.  Now after purchasing PS elements 15 I'm back to the same problem.  Nothing is working.

Thank you for the response/help. I had gone through this yesterday. When I opened up elements today there were 2 updates to install and they has worked. Was frustrated yesterday because I knew I'd found a fix during the trial and could not duplicate it after buying. Lots of water time but thankful to have it working.

Canon 5d Mark 4 are not working in Photos Shop Elements 14 after updating. Do I need to buy a newer version of Elements? I would much rather do that than using a long drawn out work around. Just making sure I am thinking correctly.

Your camera requires PSE15 or PSE 2018 to handle the CR2 files.
