Hey there
My old 32 bit HP laptop finally died, and so I have a new 64bit HP laptop. I want to reinstall my version of PSE12 on the new machine.
When I go to the Adobe Download page (Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10) and try and download PSE12, all seem to get is some form of pdf file, instead of an exe file. The file I eventually download is called PhotoshopElements_12_LS25.7z which is definitely NOT an .exe file. When I click on the PSE13, 14 and 15 download options, I can see that I will download the .exe files for these programmes, but NOT for PSE12.
Because I only had a license for PSE12, I would prefer to stay with this as I am used to it, and also don't really feel up to learning a new version of PSE at the moment. (Although I do concede that I may eventualy need to upgrade!!)
Thanks for any help
Alastair
Hi Alastair
There are two files to download for PSE12 on Windows. 7z is a compressed file so you need both downloads for extraction to take place.
After downloading both files, place them into a single folder and start the set-up from there by double clicking on the Application.

Both PSE12 parts are in the downloads folder on my new WIN 10 . I try putting them in 1 folder and the computers says the IE is working with them and I can't move the second one into the new folder. How do I put them in the same folder? Should be simple. Allen

Create a new folder e.g. PSE12 Installation.
Copy the exe file and 7z file into the new folder
Double-click the exe file to start decompression and installation
